I went to an estate auction thiis past Saturday. I got caught up in the bidding and ended up buying a $4,000,?
I went to the bank and found out I did not have enougth money in my savings or checking accountt. Iimmediatelyy went back and told the head auctioneer I did not have enough money to cover the bid for the boat. They auctioned the boat again for $2800.00. The estate lawyer says I have to pay the difference. My question is I have a brain injury and dp these things sometimes. Is it the law that I have to pay the difference?
A bid is a binding contract, so congratulations on spending 1200 on a boat that you didn’t need and don’t even have.

Yes, you have a contract, you need to fulfill it.

Yes, because legally you own the boat and if you don’t pay they can sue you or request default and get a judgment against you.
